Viruses, pop-ups and scam cleanup

Alarming pop-ups, suspicious programs, machines acting strangely after a dodgy click. I'll clean it up and lock it down.

Email trouble

Can't send, can't receive, locked out of your account, inbox full of spam — sorted, and explained.

Storage full and backups

'Disk full' warnings, thousands of photos with no room left, and setting up a proper backup so nothing precious is ever lost.

New computer setup

Moving everything across from the old machine — photos, documents, emails, passwords — so the new one feels like home.

What I don't do (and I'll tell you straight)

Cracked screens, dead motherboards, and soldering are bench-shop work — I don't do hardware surgery. If that's what your machine needs, I'll tell you on the free intro call and point you to a good local bench shop instead, so you don't pay me to find out.

Do you really come to my home?
Yes — that's the whole point. I come to you, anywhere in Newcastle within about 20km of the CBD, and fix things on your own machine at your own desk or dining table. For simpler problems, phone and remote help is also an option.
What does a repair visit cost?
The first 15-minute phone call is free — you describe the problem, I tell you honestly whether I can fix it. In-home visits are $80 per hour, or $60 per hour for pensioners and concession card holders. Most common problems are sorted within the first hour.
What kinds of computers do you repair?
Windows laptops and desktops, Apple Macs, plus the things attached to them — printers, Wi-Fi, email, phones and tablets. If you're not sure whether your problem counts, just call and describe it.
What if it can't be fixed?
I'll tell you straight, and I won't charge you to hear it. If your machine needs bench-shop hardware work or is genuinely at the end of its life, I'll say so on the free intro call and help you work out the next step — including moving everything safely to a new machine if it comes to that.
